Brief Biography

Timothy Redmond joined the Friends Research Institute, Inc. (FRI) Board of Directors in 2018 and serves as the Treasurer of the Organization.

Tim has a passion for working with non-for-profit organizations, whether it be providing financial or operational guidance to such organizations.

Starting in early 2018, Tim began working for Enterprise Community Partners, Inc. (Enterprise), a national not-for-profit that advocates for the development of affordable, sustainable housing communities and for providing equal access to social services across the socioeconomic spectrum.

Tim was previously employed by KatzAbosch, a large regional accounting firm, where he served as the director of the firm’s not-for-profit services group, performing audits and examinations of both large and small not-for-profits.

Both tenures were preceded by a stint working for Ernst & Young, LLP as a staff auditor.

In addition to his service to FRI, Tim serves as Treasurer for Central Scholarship, a Maryland not-for-profit that provides scholarship awards and loans to deserving Maryland students and sits on the Audit Committee of the Columbia Association, a community not-for-profit association in Columbia, Maryland (where Enterprise’s headquarters reside). Tim also sits on the Accounting Advisory Board for Towson University (in Towson, Maryland) and on the Associate Council of Junior Achievement of Central Maryland.

Tim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 2008
