As Chief Legal Officer for Chesapeake Employers Insurance, Carmine D’Alessandro oversees the Legal, Claims, Special Investigations, Subrogation, Premium Audit, and Compliance functions for the organization. He also oversees all legislative and regulatory matters pertaining to the company. Mr. D’Alessandro also serves as President of the Injured Workers’ Insurance Fund which acts as the third-party administrator for the State of Maryland’s Workers’ Compensation Program.
Prior to his current position, Mr. D’Alessandro was the Vice President of Legal for Chesapeake Employers. Since joining the company in 1994, he has held the following positions: Assistant Vice President of Legal Services, Assistant Vice President of Claims, Director of the Legal department, and attorney.
Mr. D’Alessandro is a member of the Maryland Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, Maryland Defense Counsel, and the Baltimore County Bar Association. He also serves on the board of the University of Baltimore Foundation.
