Brief Biography

Brooke graduated from Temple University with her B.A in psychology and a minor in criminal justice. During her undergraduate studies, she worked on studies researching the long-term impact of technology on adolescence as well as the impact of peer influence has on juvenile crime rates.

At Temple, she found her passion in public and social policies. Her research interests focus on how systems can be redesigned to better support vulnerable, justice-involved populations. Previously, she worked at Merakey as a case manager before coming to FRI to work as a Research Assistant.

At FRI, she is working with Dr. Karen Alexander on the Philly NavSTAR project which is a study testing the effectiveness of patient navigators for hospitalized individuals with opioid-use disorder.
