Aryana earned a Master of Public Health from Drexel University, during which she interned with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. In this role, she contributed to the development of a web tool designed to increase the use of free and low-cost services at Federally Qualified Health Centers in Philadelphia. Additionally, Aryana interned with CareFirst, where she developed health equity training modules for providers and conducted an internal review using member-based data to examine racial disparities in chronic kidney disease progression across different racial and economic backgrounds. After graduating, Aryana worked with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on a project focused on COVID-19 prevalence across industries and occupations for PA workers.
Currently, Aryana is working under Dr. Karen Alexander as a Research Assistant on the Mindfulness for Caregivers study, which aims to reduce stress among African American caregivers of people with HIV/AIDS.
