Research Interests

Tyler received his Bachelor’s of Arts in History at the University of North Alabama. With a focus in Medieval History, he is learning to adapt and expand his capabilities by working for FRI. He is looking forward to utilizing his skills to face new opportunities as they present themselves.

At FRI, Tyler is currently working with Dr. Shannon Mitchell and Dr. Laura Monico on the Examining the Effectiveness of the FaCES Adolescent SBIRT study, testing the effectiveness of adolescent Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) in primary care settings. He is currently working on study recruitment and follow-up in one of the Tennessee clinic site locations. He has also worked on other projects related to manuscript preparation, including a paper related to the Adolescent SBIRT Implementation study, and the Navigation Services to Avoid Rehospitalization (NavSTAR) among substance abusers study.
