Tori-Ann Williams holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Manhattan College and a Master of Science in Neuroscience and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. With extensive experience in research and project management, Tori-Ann has a proven track record of contributing to diverse research projects and driving impactful outcomes. She began her research career with an internship at Columbia University/New York State Psychiatric Institute, working on a longitudinal fMRI study focused on adolescents of incarcerated individuals in the Bronx. This experience not only ignited her passion for research but also deepened her commitment to uplifting underserved populations.
Tori-Ann joined FRI as a Project Manager to work under Dr. Babak Tofighi on an AHRQ sponsored study in collaboration with Weill Cornell, Nathan Kline Institute and NYU Grossman College of Medicine. This multi- site study aims to assess the efficacy of an open source, multimodal artificial intelligence-driven texting tool combined with peer recovery coach-supported text to enhance receipt of buprenorphine in primary care among emergency department-enrolled Black / Latinx people who use opioids.
