Research Interests

Raheem Seaforth is a 2022 graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park where he earned his B.A. in Psychology and a certificate in African American Studies. During his collegiate career, Raheem served as a Research Assistant in two University of Maryland labs. In the African American Studies Black Child & Family lab, Raheem worked with lead researcher, Dr. Angel Dunbar, in data collection, coding, and analysis. In the Robert H. Smith Business School lab, Raheem oversaw and managed day-to-day lab operations to ensure correct study procedures.

Raheem’s primary research interest centers around social and clinical research. Since joining Friends Research Institute in August of 2022, Raheem serves as a Research Assistant for the Subthreshold Opioid Use Disorder Prevention (STOP) Trial. As a STOP Trial RA, Raheem is responsible for participant recruitment, enrollment, and data collection.
