Dr. Pappas’ research interests include the intersection of psychedelics, substance use, harm reduction, and health disparities. He is currently a study physician for the NIH/NIDA-funded SOAR trial (Smartphones for Opiate Addiction Recovery), investigating AI-driven strategies to reduce overdose deaths. He is committed to advancing equitable models of healthcare through research, education, and clinical care.
