Madison received her Master of Public Health from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While obtaining her degree, Madison taught numerous courses as a graduate teaching assistant, including Substance Use and Society and AIDS and Society, where she developed and led lectures on cannabis, HIV prevention and treatment, and harm reduction. After receiving her MPH, Madison worked with at-risk individuals in the Philadelphia neighborhood of Kensington on a longitudinal, observational study evaluating immune outcomes of COVID-19 vaccination in people who use stimulants and/or opioids. Now, at FRI, Madison works alongside Dr. Karen Alexander as the research assistant on the AWAreness and Response to the Environment (AWARE) study with the aim to develop a self-monitoring intervention tailored for young adults with opioid use disorder.
