Research Interests

Jasmine Blue, a Virginia Beach native, completed her Bachelors of Science in Psychology at Radford University in 2017. She moved to Maryland to attend Morgan State University, where she received her Master’s Degree in Public Health in 2019. Jasmine has worked as a counselor for those experiencing psychiatric crisis, as well as providing case management to individuals in a psychiatric rehabilitation program.

During her practice experience, Jasmine worked for a local community clinic where she prepared a variety of health education materials and spoke at treatment centers across Baltimore City about sexual health, risk reduction techniques, as while as linking those HIV/HCV positive individuals to care. Jasmine is very passionate about eliminating health disparities using community-based interventions, to enable urban, minority and underserved populations to attain optimal health. At FRI, Jasmine is currently working as a Patient Navigator with Dr. Jan Gryczynski to examine the effectiveness of Opioid Use Disorder treatment linkage at STD clinics using Buprenorphine, by helping opioid-dependent patients resolve barriers and link these STD clinic patients to OUD treatment.
