Research Interests

Emilie earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada in Organizational Development and Human Relations, before beginning her career in human resources in the healthcare industry. Following her career in HR, Emilie pursued her dream of becoming a nurse, obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing through the Entry into Practice Program at Johns Hopkins University. Following graduation, Emilie built her skills as an inpatient Registered Nurse on the step-down cardiac unit at Hopkins Hospital.  Subsequently, she joined a local federally qualified healthcare center to serve the homeless population, providing treatment for patients with substance use disorders. Emilie is passionate about harm reduction and the mission to support individuals with significant behavioral health needs. At FRI, she is working as a Nurse Care Manager with Dr. Karen Alexander on a Clinical Trials Network study that seeks to address the opioid epidemic.
