Charlotte spent her early childhood in England before moving to Maryland. She attended the University of Delaware for her undergraduate studies, majoring in criminal justice and political science. During her time at the University of Delaware, Charlotte helped conduct research focused on racism and sexism within Delaware’s opioid epidemic. After graduation, Charlotte returned to Maryland and worked for a non-profit assisting victims of domestic violence in Baltimore city before coming to FRI.
At FRI, Charlotte works as a Research Assistant for a NIDA-funded study comparing sublingual buprenorphine and extended-release buprenorphine (BRIXADI) treatments for individuals leaving jail in hopes to reduce opioid use, re-incarceration, and opioid overdose, as well as improve the quality of life for individuals involved in the criminal justice system in Maryland.
